What happens when recovery doesn't seem to be working as it should? This video is especially important for those of us who are frustrated with the relatively small pay-off we feel we're getting for a lot of hard work. Earnie Larsen explains that the shortcut to getting results comes from focusing very specifically on one problem at a time. Once a problem has been identified, we learn how to go about the process of change. First, we learn the art of change behaviour, making a commitment to tangible, do-able behavioral changes that directly confront destructive habits. Second, we are encouraged to pursue support changes. Group meetings, sponsors, and daily inventories are a few of the elements Earnie proposes to help us find the support we need to make changes. The combination of narrative and situational role plays in this video is an effective teaching tool for those of us ready to advance in our recovery.
