"Silver Burdett Music" is a programme which has been designed to meet the changing needs of teachers and children, and to meet the requirements of the National Curriculum at Key Stages 1-3. The set of resources includes teacher's editions, pupil's books, cassettes, a scope and sequence chart, and teacher's resource books. Ideas, resources and suggestions for lesson plans are provided for all teachers regardless of their own music experience or training. It is not necessary for the teacher using the programme to be able to read music or play accompaniments, since these are provided on the cassettes. This set of poster-sized charts covers Key Stage 1. The charts aim to stimulate discussion and creative work across the curriculum. They are accompanied by vinyl words, numbers, symbols and pictures (MusiClings) for pupils to stick on and peel off the laminated surface of the charts. One set of charts is included with each book 1 "Special Package".
