Human Embryology and Teratology

Human development can best be understood when explanations are combined with three-dimensional reconstructions of the developmental stages. This concise course of Human Embryology is based principally on the unique 3D reconstructions created by Prof. E. Blechschmidt. Students can go through all the structures of the human embryo in different stages of development by means of reconstructions (Information Mode), and test their knowledge by using the atlas pictures (Test Mode). The teaching text, together with schematic pictures and animations, is a concise introduction to human embryology and teratology. Students' knowledge of developmental processes can be tested by answering the multiple-choice questions. The program is very easy to work with and provides a high degree of flexibility. Teachers of embryology can build up their own sequences of pages using the bookmark function. This third edition is considerably extended and improved, with a new section on teratology having been added. The program can now be run in three languages: English, German and French.
