Intrapartum Emergencies

This interactive CD-ROM program uses case studies to guide the learner through the labor and delivery of women with high risk pregnancies. Emergency situations are presented, allowing users to "work" with clients in crisis. Cases are followed from admission through delivery, while users employ critical thinking skills to determine what assessment data to collect, and what interventions are appropriate. A test at the end places the learner in charge of two patients experiencing a variety of subjective symptoms. The learner must decide which patient is a true emergency.
