Allen Riedel is a photographer, journalist, author, and administrator. He has authored several hiking guides, including 100 Classic Hikes in Southern California, Best Hikes with Dogs in Southern California, and a number of Best Easy Day Hikes guides, and written for magazines and newspapers. He is a longtime educator currently residing in the mountains of Southern California.
Monique Riedel is a native 4th generation Southern Californian. She has worked in the legal field, social services and education. Diversity and Inclusion is one of her passions. Monique has traveled the world extensively and is always looking for another adventure. When not traveling abroad, Monique enjoys exploring the vast network of trails right here in Southern California. Monique lives with her husband Allen and their three dogs in the beautiful San Jacinto Mountains.
