Corrosion Protection of Metals by Intrinsically Conducting Polymers
Beschreibung
Rezensionen / Stimmen
"This is a concise, very well written and clear text which explores the benefits of using intrinsically conducting polymers for corrosion protection and strategies that can be followed. ...The authors have successfully managed to discuss all this in less than 200 pages, in an accessible and highly useful text for corrosion engineers and scientists..."-Christopher Brett, University of Coimbra, Portugal
"...combine[s] both theory and practice in a way that is up-to-date, precise and understandable. ..."
-Reza Javaherdashti, PhD, Researcher/Consultant
"...this book fulfills its goal to provide newbies and experts a well-structured summary on principles which need to be considered when dealing with intrinsically conducting polymers for corrosion protection in laboratory and production."
-Corrosion and Materials, June 2016
"This book is well organized with reasonable coverage of the existing literature. It also contains an index and a list of abbreviations used in the book. There are an adequate number of tables and figures. This is a specialized book that would be useful for researchers in the field of CPs who have knowledge of corrosion."

Dimitra Sazou earned a PhD in chemistry and is a current professor of physical chemistry at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. Dr. Sazou was a visiting researcher/professor at the Department of Chemistry, University of Houston, and the Department of Physical Sciences, University of Cyprus. Her research interests include corrosion-passivation of metals and their protection by using intrinsically conducting polymers, and focuses on understanding the physico-electrochemical processes leading to uniform and localized corrosion via the analysis of the nonlinear behavior of metal electro dissolution-passivation reactions. She has more than 25 years of experience on the topic and has authored many refereed publications.
