He has acted as a consultant for many years to the Law Societies in both parts of Ireland. He was also appointed leader of the Department of Justice and Law Reform Commission Joint Project on the reform of land and conveyancing law, which resulted in the enactment of the Land and Conveyancing Law Reform Act 2009.
