The New Telecommunications

The author provides examples of the use of telecommunications as a developmental tool, drawn from field research on innovative applications of the technology in large and small businesses, education, health, scientific research, and residential services. He foresees the increasing coalescence of computing and telecommunications as a "coming intelligent network" able to combine traditional and new services on a common high performance network.
