UK College of Family Mediators Directory and Handbook: 1998/99

This handbook discusses the provisions of the Family Law Act and its implications for mediation; reproduces the UK College Standards and Guidelines, and Codes of Practice; describes the roles and aims of the three organizations which make up the college; contains addresses for family mediation organizations, legal services and community help;examines how family mediation works under Scottish law; looks at the process of mediation and in particular at the lawyersrole and the involvement of children; and reviews the progress of the Legal Aid Board's Family Mediation Pilot Project. The directory section contains contact details of the 110 Regional Groups or Services which form part of the College (as well as an A-Z of all College members).
