Understanding Assessment in Design and Technology

This book has been designed to support Design and Technology teaching and assessment within Key Stage 3. It has been produced by the Technology Education Research Unit (TERU) at Goldsmith's College, London, by a team of Design and technology practitioners. A practical guide for teachers gathering and interpreting evidence of Design and Technology capability, it addresses issues of departmental and classroom organization, particularly in the context of the National Curriculum, and offers practical advice based on work with teachers and pupils nationwide. The material draws on over 50 real examples of pupils' work at a variety of levels and in a wide range of contexts, many of them presented in full colour.
