The European Contracts Convention

This is an examination of the Rome Convention, which establishes rules to determine the applicable law of cross-border contracts in Europe. The volume describes the matters to which the Convention applies, the rules by which the applicable law is determined and the scope of that law. The author includes chapters on the Convention's origins and context, its interpretations and scope, excluded matters, freedom of choice, accession, employment contracts, assignment and material validity. There is also reference to the European Court.
