A TV tie-in, the book tells the story of Rap and the new mode of expression it has supplied to the youth of today. It is told through the eyes of its participants, through anecdotes rather than observation, from the mouths of the men and women who made it happen such as Grandmaster Flash, Africa Bambaata and others.
