The QUERCUS package is a collection of courseware modules designed to tutor bioscience students in the basic concepts and techniques of statistics. Throughout QUERCUS the visual and interactive nature of statistics is emphasized. Concepts are illustrated with diagrams, animations and simulations. Student understanding is developed and tested through the use of worked examples, exercises and multiple choice tests. Supplementary exercises, extensive worked examples and a selection of complete projects (using real data), give the students opportunities to develop their skills in data analysis and report writing. QUERCUS also provides training in the use of MINITAB for Windows (v.9 or higher).
