Simulated counterflow chromatigraphic separations
exhibit a complex dynamical behaviour. In this
thesis, two new concepts for the control of these
processes, and a new concept for the state reconstruction are presented.
From a detailed process model, which encounters
the continuous and the discrete dynamics separately, strongly simplified models are derived for the synthesis of the system. Thereby, control and observation algorithms of low complexity are obtained. The practical relevance of the results is shown by numerical simulations.
