Brazilian Brilliance is a management guidebook which offers advice on the right strategic and operative decisions for a successful business in Brazil. The authors interviewed more than 50 chief executives of German and Swiss affiliates in Brazil in order to find answers to the questions of what strategies foreign companies should use to enter the Brazilian market or to leverage the full potential of existing affiliates, how to successfully surmount trade and investment barriers while exploiting the specific benefits of international expansion, and what operational factors distinguish successful from unsuccessful players in Brazil. The recommendations of this book are supported by a research-based framework, a thorough analysis of quantitative data, and the practical knowledge and deep industry insights of over 50 senior managers. This book should prove useful for managers viewing Brazil from abroad, for those analyzing and evaluating market entry, and for those considering the expansion of existing Brazilian affiliates. With its second focus on operational success factors, this book may also serve as a reference guide for those practitioners who have to im-plement a strategy in the Brazilian market.
