Migrant Trafficking and Human Smuggling in Europe

There is concern in Europe about the rising scale of migrant trafficking and human smuggling, much of which is via Central and Eastern European countries. Despite the increase in the number of such cases and the vast media interest, there has been relatively little systematic research on these subjects. This report presents results of research on trafficking in Central and Eastern Europe, and a systematic review of existing studies and research on migrant trafficking and human smuggling in Europe.
