Her research focuses mathematical modelling education, mathematics teacher education and teacher professional development, international comparative studies.She is former editor-in-chief and current associate editor of ZDM - Mathematics Education.
Toshikazu Ikeda is a professor of Mathematics Education at the College of Education, Yokohama National University, Japan. He has dedicated his studies to exploring effective methods of teaching mathematical modelling and was honored with the Japan Society of Mathematics Education award in 2017. Additionally, he served on the International Executive Committee of ICTMA from 2005 to 2017, resuming this role in 2022.
Akihiko Saeki holds a professorship at Kanazawa Institute of Technology, Japan, and is honorary professor at Naruto University of Education, Japan. He has continued to study about mathematical modelling and applications in school and teacher education. He obtained the Award for Educational Practice from the Japanese Society for Science Education in 2006. He was one of the members of the International Executive Committee of ICTMA from 2019 to 2021.
