Moral Communities

This book examines the resurgence of interest in ethics in the academic world. The text of the 1992 Prideaux lectures, it argues that in a postmodern society, distinctive moral communities are particularly crucial for understanding goodness beyond self-interest. This claim, in return, has important implications for Christian ethics and for the Churches, even within an apparently secular world.
