A photographic atlas of characteristic and non-characteristic radiographic features of common and rare bone and joint diseases of the horse. The text offers a short description of the radiographic findings and the radiographic diagnosis or differential diagnosis. The clinical significance is defined and additional information noted if necessary. The progress of disease is sometimes demonstrated by serial radiographs. The diagnostic value of additional projections and contrast studies is illustrated and some of the most common pitfalls are presented. The radiographic projections are described using the standardized nomenclature accepted and approved by the American College of Veterinary Radiology in November 1983.
