'For those with a little more experience there is the brand new Blackston'e Police Operational Handbook, which in contrast is a more detailed reference book aimed at officers and PCSOs out on patrol and looking for assistance in effective decision making. Structures around the difference offence categories likely to be encountered - be they violence, drugs, licensing and road traffic, to name but a few - in each instance the handbook sets out the wording of the relevant offence, 'points to prove', meanings, explanatory notes, relevant cases and practical considerations. Easy to find legislation with highlighted notes assisting with fast decision making.
