Aging in Minority Groups

Older members of minority groups are discriminated against, not only because they're old, but because of their ethnic group. Perhaps for this reason, studies of older people in minorities have tended to approach the subject as a social problem. This volume of essays written by minority group contributors takes a more positive view. The contributions focus on how normal members of minorities cope with the problems of being old. These normative patterns, the demographics of older minority group members, and issues of service delivery and policy are examined.
