Spanish for Leisure and Tourism Studies

These cassettes contain the dialogues, listening exercises and vocabulary lists for pronunciation practice that are needed to follow the complementary course book. The course is structured as a series of 12 units, each of which is centred around one particular leisure and tourist attraction and focuses on typical situations that a member of staff working there may have to deal with. Within each unit, particular emphasis is placed on listening and speaking. At regular points throughout the book, cultural information is given in order to reduce the possibility of embarrassing misunderstandings. Four assignments are included, in addition to exercises, which aim to exploit and put into practice the skills acquired. The book also includes and extensive Spanish-English glossary and a key to all the exercises. The course is aimed at students taking City & Guilds, BTEC ND/HND, RSA and GNVQ Tourism courses.
