Starting life in 1791 as a single-room school for poor local children, The St Marylebone School has become the top non-selective school in London and one of the top non-selective girls' schools in the country. Throughout the many changes to its fabric and curriculum, St Marylebone has remained faithful to the values of its founders and retained the strong support of the church against which it nestles. Its aim is to ensure that every child, regardless of their background, is helped to make the very best of their talents and abilities.
