Reintegration

A guide to help teachers develop workable and effective policies and methods for re-integrating pupils back into school. The text is intended for pupils who have been permanently excluded, but also children who are returning to the school system after major disruption to their lives, including: ill health, changing family circumstances, extended visits to home countries, changes in care placements for children in public care, caring responsibilities, seeking asylum, teenage pregnancy, refusing school and truancy. With case studies and diagrams the guide is designed as a resource for any school wanting to develop a whole-school approach to re-integration that is receptive to the different needs of all children in the school community.
