PROF. DR. EDUARDO SOBARZO-SANCHEZMedicinal and Bioinorganic Chemistry Research GroupGrupo de Investigacion "Quimica Medica y Bio-inorganica" (QMEDBIN)Instituto de Investigacion y DoctoradosFacultad de Medicina y Ciencias de la SaludUniversidad Central de Chile CHILE
Full professor and researcher at the Instituto de Investigacion y Doctorados, Facultad de Medicina y Ciencias de la Salud at the Universidad Central de Chile (UCEN, Chile). He was professor and researcher at the University of Chile (Chile) and University of Santiago de Compostela (USC, Spain), wherein he continues as an associate researcher at the Faculty of Pharmacy (USC) in the field of Natural Products-Medicinal Chemistry against CNS diseases and experimental studies about drug delivery systems.
From these research lines, there have been generated more than 170 scientific articles of high impact index in the field of the Chemistry, Pharmacy and Nanotechnology compiled in several journals. On the base of the excellent experimental results, and of direct application in the scope of the health, such results have been protected in more than 9 (European) protection patents and PCT (Patent Cooperation Treaty) that cover the scope of the applied nanomedicine in neuro-degenerative and parasitic diseases. At the present time, he is International Referee of Research Projects in the fields of Biomedicine, in Argentina and Chile (FONCYT and FONDECYT, respectively), and Spain for the National Agency of Evaluation and Prospective (ANEP).
He is Editor / Editorial Board member of the following journals; Molecules, International Journal of Nanomedicine, Journal of Nanomedicine and Nanotechnology, Archives of Natural Biological Research, Frontiers in Pharmacology, Mini-Reviews in Medicinal Chemistry, Current Medicinal Chemistry, Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity and Current Topics in Medicinal Chemistry.
Inside the research activities carried out, two main research lines can be described; 1) Synthesis of compounds from natural sources or synthetic ways with pharmacological activity (neuro-degenerative dysfunctions and behavioral disorders as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's diseases and depression-anxiety, respectively), and parasitic diseases (Malaria, Leishmania), and; 2) Synthesis of supramolecular system derived from natural/synthetic polymers for controlled release of drugs.

The file format PDF always displays a book page identically on any hardware. This makes PDF suitable for complex layouts such as those used in textbooks and reference books (images, tables, columns, footnotes). Unfortunately, on the small screens of e-readers or smartphones, PDFs are rather annoying, requiring too much scrolling.
This eBook uses Adobe-DRM, a „hard” copy protection. If the necessary requirements are not met, unfortunately you will not be able to open the eBook. You will therefore need to prepare your reading hardware before downloading.
