Description
The trickiest part of taking up running is turning it into a habit that sticks.
Couch to 5k is hard enough. But how do you stay motivated to stick to it when your muscles ache, the weather turns, and it doesn't seem to be getting any easier? How do you fit running into a busy life and how do you keep it interesting so that going for a run becomes a joy and not a chore?
This is the only beginner's guide to running that puts habit formation front and centre. Clear, authoritative guidance around technique and training is combined with habit-forming strategies, progressive and detailed session plans, and ideas for how to adapt your training to cope with all of life's changes.
The Running Habit will help you take the plunge, kick start, restart, adapt, simplify, and challenge so that you give yourself the best possible chance of turning a run into a lifelong passion.
