This provides access to publishers and publishing organizations worldwide. It should help facilitate international ordering, acquisitions and cataloguing procedures. This edition has been updated and expanded via the databases of Saur and the 74 participating ISBN agencies worldwide to include: contact details for over 252,000 publishers in 189 countries; ISBN prefixes for over 200,000 publishers; microform, video and computer software publishers; countries which have recently joined the international ISBN system; and coverage of alternative presses and publishers. The directory offers three routes to information through: a geographical section; a numerical ISBN section; and an alphabetical index.
