The Conservation of Insects and Their Habitats

This work reflects the findings of the 15th symposium of the Royal Entomological Society of London, which was about insects and their habitats. The papers deal with conservation problems and policy, founded on concern that current knowledge about much of insect ecology is incomplete. Among the topics covered in the book, are the problems of the diversity of insects; continental insect fauna; island insect fauna; isolation, mobility and fragmentation of insect populations; and the creation of new and successful habitats for arthropods.
