Maria Teresa Barahona was born in Madrid, where she graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1986. She lived in Italy for 15 years, where her daughters were born and where she worked as a doctor. She returned to Spain in 2004, continuing to work in the field of nutrition, focusing on the prevention of child obesity and the creation of a healthy lifestyle. Edie Pijpers grew up in the lowlands of Holland and started her career performing music (between 2001 and 2007 she released four albums and toured extensively across America and Northern Europe). Later she started to paint and in New York she began to find a wider audience for the art. Her paintings appeared in West Village children's boutiques, galleries and at art fairs all over the city. Last year, her art was featured in the Union Square Holiday Market in Manhattan where she had a store selling prints and originals.
