Michael N. Ciampo is a lieutenant in the Fire Department of the City of New York and previously served with the District of Columbia Fire Department and the Wyckoff (NJ) Volunteer Fire Department. He has a bachelor's degree in fire science from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. He is the lead instructor for the FDIC Truck Essentials H.O.T. program and was previously lead instructor of the Ladders H.O.T. program.
Lt. Ciampo wrote the ""Ladders"" chapter and contributed to the ""Ventilation"" and ""Firefighting Basic Tools"" chapters for Fire Engineering's Handbook for Firefighter I and II, and he is featured in the "Training Minutes" truck company videos on FireEngineering.com.
