In addition there is a well-produced CD of model performances. Flexibility seems to be at the heart of Hunt's concept. The repertoire choice is enticingly varied . . . In Voiceworks at Christmas Peter Hunt provides refreshing singing material for adolescent singers in a classroom setting - I would also recommend it to the choral directors with youth and community choirs as the SATB works are very simple. The book includes a vast range of repertoire . . . There's a complete lesson/rehearsal plan for each song with tips and hints for warming up. The pages are photocopiable which is wonderful for limited resource budgets. Every song is performed brilliantly on the CD by a small group of singers - in tune, together and beautifully (without huge warbly vibratos the size of a minor third). The old and the new are combined to create this Christmas choral collection. He is a highly skilled teacher with extensive experience as a choral animateur, clinician, workshop leader, conductor, and arranger.
