Using Oxford First Dictionaries: Photocopy Masters

These photocopiable activities are intended for children aged 4-7 years (in the classroom or as homework). The initial exercises are aimed at younger children, working progressively up the age range. Activities focus on the dictionary and reference skills specified in the National Curriculum, including: putting words in alphabetical order; locating words by initial letter(s); exploring simple definitions; understanding and using key vocabulary from the NLS; developing word recognition; and using a dictionary to check spelling. The masters are designed for use with "My Very First Oxford Dictionary" and "My First Oxford Dictionary". This book is intended for children 4-7 (KS1)
