Description
for SATB and piano
Hashkiveinu is a traditional Hebrew prayer said at night that asks for protection while sleeping and to be woken in the morning. Burrows's setting is solemn and meditative, with the clarity of the text given precedence. The unified choral texture is complemented by a driving piano accompaniment, as listeners are invited to connect with the profound sentiments of this sacred invocation.
