Description
This software package has been developed as a user-friendly introduction to manipulating the key concepts in both financial and management accounting. This version, now available with an accompanying workbook, allows students to use the program as a course supplement, or as a stand-alone learning resource. It offers both academic and professional students an understanding of, and use of, financial and management accounting techniques. The software and workbook cover: financial accounting - the balance sheet, the profit-and-loss account; transaction-recording techniques and trial balance adjustments and final accounts preparation; management accounting - absorption costing, marginal costing, standard costing and capital investment appraisal. The program offers students a gradual, self-paced and flexible introduction to the basic concepts behind accounting, and additionally, allows the user to test their own understanding at every stage. The software gives the student access to numerous examples generated on demand and suggested solutions when required, providing marking for student's solutions, and provides continuous support so that the reasoning behind each step can be seen.
