This illustrated reference book contains terms in five languages covering developments in building and drawing techniques as found in the current literature. It deals with such areas as architects' office practice, drawing implements and instruments, representational techniques, basic descriptive geometry, spatial representation, planning and submission of proposed buildings; details and elements of buildings such as roofs, stairs, windows, doors, chimneys, moldings, brick bonds, heating, lighting and plumbing; building materials such as stone, ceramic, mortar, cement, concrete, metal, glass, wood, plastic and paints, and also accessories; and artistic terminology, ornaments, styles and orders, both historical and contemporary. The collected terms include many nouns, adjectives and verbs.
