The disk contains 12 interactive cases, each of which also includes multiple choice questions relating to the case. Summary and learning points screens at the end of each case give detailed feedback. The cases are supported by a comprehensive range of helpscreens (around 250 in all), each comprising a mini-review article, particularly relating to diagnostic tests and therapies. The help screens include over 500 downloadable colour figures,including an extensive annotated atlas of gastrointestinal and hepatic pathology. There are also several videos including a 12-minute training video on PEG insertion. A problem-based textbook of gastroenterology and hepatology is also included. This is pitched at a lower level than the helpscreens (approximately MRCP/Gastro trainee level), but includes downloadable text and tables for use as training aids.
