Description
Whether dancers learn best through seeing, hearing, or doing, this CD-ROM brings ballet techniques to life and lets students and teachers learn at their own pace. For beginning ballet students, the software is like a private tutor to help reinforce what students learn in class. For instructors, it is a flexible teaching tool that provides a visual model of beginning steps, exercises, and principles. The CD-ROM's user-friendly allows users to navigate through the barre and centre exercises of a beginning ballet class in two ways: in the order the exercise is learned in class or alphabetically. This unique feature allows dancers to view and review each exercise at their own pace as many times as necessary to learn the technique and terminology. For each exercise, step, position, and pose, a simple point and click allows users to view a visual or video performance; see the name of an exercise or steppe in French and hear it pronounced; see and hear the English description for executing the exercise or step; use hot links; study technical points on correct execution of beginning classical ballet; and administer self-testing on the ballet techniques and principles.
