Glacial Analysis

Glacial Analysis is an innovative, interactive learning CD-ROM. Basic concepts in glaciology and glacial environment are introduced before detailed explanation of the main techniques for analysis of glacial sediments. Specific sections cover till types, till fabric analysis and how folds and fabric can be analysed to interpret the glacial environment. Each section is supported by exercises for project work and self-assessment.
A series of videos illustrate contrasting glaciated environments from Alaska, New Zealand, Svalbard and the Alps. Full colour images, animations, links to Internet sites and full hypertext presentation feature throughout, bringing topics alive and allowing full user interaction. Two navigation pathways are offered making this an invaluable resource for both introductory and more advanced users. The student learning pathway takes the user through systematically building knowledge progressively and ensuring a thorough examination of each topic. The ^free access pathway allows the user to access any part of any section for revision or advanced study.
