The "Rhyme and Analogy" series develops the important phonological awareness skills outlined in the National Curriculum and is ideal for the Literacy Hour and Early Intervention. It includes a range of resources including Card Games, Alphabet Frieze, Photocopy Masters, and 24 Story Rhymes, which support children's knowledge of letters, sound, and rhyme. The "Rhyme and Analogy Software" is a series, over two disks (Volume A and Volume B: CD-ROM, all platforms), of 36 carefully graded activities, covering 48 rhyming families and based on the "Story Rhyme Photocopy Masters". The talking and animated activities in Volume A correspond to "Pack A Story Rhymes" and both teach and practice phonological skills at three levels: listening, reading, and writing. Extra help is provided when needed, lively animations reward correct responses, and the gentle correction routines for wrong responses encourage children to learn by their mistakes and make real progress.
