Textplay Apple Ii

Textplay consists of three programs: Context, Hotline and Construct, and an author Program. Context is a 'cloze' program in which the user rebuilds a text from dashes indicating the number of letters in the words. In Hotline the user must reassemble the jumbled lines of a text into its correct form. Finally, Space Out takes a text and removes all the punctuation, spaces and capital letters, which students must attempt to replace. The Textplay disc comes complete with a4range of texts at three levels of difficulty: elementary, intermediate and advanced. There is also an authoring program, Textwriter, which teachers can use for writing in texts of their own, therefore tailoring material to the needs, interests and problems of particular students. A Booklet is included in the pack, giving detailed guidance on the programs for both teacher and student.
