Amanda Claridge is emeritus Professor of Roman Archaeology at Royal Holloway University of London. Her recent publications include Rome: An Oxford Archaeological Guide (2010) and (with Ingo Herklotz) Paper Museum of Cassiano dal Pozzo: Classical manuscript illustrations (2012). Claire Holleran is Lecturer in Classics and Ancient History at the University of Exeter. She is co-editor of the upcoming Demography and the Graeco-Roman World (with April Pudsey, 2011) and author of Shopping in Ancient Rome: the Retail Trade in the Late Republic and the Principate (2012).
