Description
ARGOS is a PC program for the production of two-dimensional molecular configuration graphs based on information from connection tables. As it requires no predetermined coordinate, ARGOS is particularly valuable for the documentation and processing of molecules for which no coordinate information is available. With ARGOS, these molecules can be drawn according to standard chemical conventions, allowing for easy documentation of research results, data bank control, and examination of synthesis planning or reaction simulation programs. ARGOS offers a wide variety of control functions for plotting layouts. It can also be used as a terminal program for communicating with a host computer, whereby connection tables stored in the host system can be displayed directly. The graphics can be plotted on a wide variety of display media, including PC screens, printers, HP plotters, and Tektronix units.
