Description
A companion to the "London Dysmorphology Database", the 1998 edition of the "London Neurogenetics Database" covers in more substantial detail clinical neurological features, neuroradiology, neurophysiology, and neuropathology including nerve and muscle biopsy findings. Details of 2847 syndromes involving the central and peripheral nervous system are now held in the Windows version and there are 29,112 references. The database is simple to use and has many features: the user can browse or search for the syndromes, features and references supplied; searches can be combined or progressively refined; and you can print or save searches. New features of the 1998 database include a direct link from the database to the Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man (OMIM) web site and also to the Medline site. From the OMIM site other molecular databases and information can easily be accessed and the Medline links will allow access to full abstracts for cited papers. The requirements for running are: Windows 3.1, Windows 95 or Windows NT. 486 PC with 33MHz or full compatible. 8Mb of RAM. VGA monitor with 16 colours set at 640 x 480 (256 colours recommended).
