Description
The Windows 1998 edition of the "London Dysmorphology Database" (LDDB) contains information on 3012 non-chromosomal, multiple congenital anomaly syndromes. There are also 27,843 references. The database is intended to be simple to use and has many features: the user can browse or search for the syndromes, features, and references supplied; searches can be combined or progressively refined; and you can print or save searches. LDDB arose from the need to diagnose and provide genetic counselling for the hundreds of rare multiple congenital malformation syndromes. Work began on the database in 1981 with the intention of ascertaining the majority of reported syndromes in the literature. The system requirements are: Windows 3.1, Windows 95 or Windows NT. 486 PC with 33MHz or full compatible. 8Mb of RAM. VGA monitor with 16 colours set at 640 x 480 (256 colours recommended). The software takes about 15Mb of disk space and the individual databases take about 38Mb each.
