Description
There are certainly not many opportunities to watch an experienced and world
travelled professional photographer at work. Usually, we only see the pictures but not the background of their creation. What makes this book so special is the fact that Gert Wagner's stories let us take a close-up view at this process. He has worked in photojounalism and advertising for leading magazines, multi-national corporations, and known brands. Many of his pictures have been published worldwide and have received numerous awards. Their creation is described here, with a total of 130
partly staggering examples and respective background information.
Any ambitous photographer aims at taking interesting images, either by telling a story, preserving memorable moments, granting joy, documenting, or advertising. Photography can indeed be a highly creative act with plenty of fun.
While a camera is merely taking pictures, it is not crucial for good results. These depend on the effect of light and picture design. Additionally, it is useful for the
photographer to be aware of the importance of getting well prepared, watching minor matters, and experimenting, this being the path to powerful photography.
The book covers a wide variety of themes: adventure, action, landscapes, people, light, symbols, architecture, industry, and even unattractive subjects, taking the
reader right to the heart of successful picture shooting with surprisingly simple
solutions. It is vivid, exciting, and highly inspiring and motivating, thus
leading to visibly better pictures!
Reviews / Votes
Outstanding - Excellent. Craft exemplified. Lots of valuable information & guidance concisely presented in an easy, warm understandable style. For all who seriously want to learn, develop craft, skills, knowledge & creative potential (not to mention greater flexibility). Well worth the modest price. Very user friendly, too. Not for those who want point & click tips, but by no means intimidating for newcomers to DSLR. No doubt pro's could also learn a thing or too from Wagner. Happy as to have found this & his others!More details
