"Professor Quan Zhang is one of the major scholars in language testing and Rasch measurement theory in China. This book provides a clear introduction to both classical test theory and modern measurement research on the Rasch model. Quan is a Board member of the Pacific Rim Objective Measurement Society. He is the author of Rasch-GZ software that provides the opportunity for students and others to apply the measurement principles presented in this book. Rasch-GZ is the first Chinese platform for both CTT-based Item Analysis and Rasch-based Test Equating. This book will be of help to scholars with an interest in using and improving measurement practices in the human sciences."
