Her research interests include Wireless Sensor Networks, Ad hoc Networks, and Wireless Mesh Networks, with emphases on Network Security and Routing. Lou is guest editor for the International Journal of Wireless Information Networks, Editor for IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications and a Senior Member of IEEE.
