Person
Ingrid Zellner was born in 1962 in Dachau/Germany. She studied Dramatics, German Literature and History in Munich (1988 final exams for the Master's degree). She worked as a dramaturg for the Municipal Theatre of Hildesheim from 1990 to 1994 and the Bavarian State Opera in Munich from 1996 to 2008. Currently she works as a translator (Swedish) and as an author. She has published novels, crime thrillers, a children's book, short stories, CD booklet texts, articles and plays; moreover, she wrote German subtitles for the Indian director Onir's award-winning movie I Am. She is also a director and an actress, hugely successful among others as Judge Adam in Kleist's "The Broken Jug". She is a back-up singer for the punk rock band "Garden Gang" and has been the director of a youth theatre ensemble for six years. Her favourite travel destinations are the Scandinavian countries, the Arctic regions and India.
