After completing undergraduate work in psychology and human growth/development, Mark went on to get a Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary. He is ordained by the Church of God (Anderson, IN), and the founding pastor of Surfside Community Church in Fort Pierce, FL.
Mark has served on the board of directors for several organizations in Florida's foster care system. Mark and his wife Terri served as foster parents for nine years and have seven children.
