About the Author Paula F. (Pfeiffer) Winskye, a North Dakota native, began writing stories about horses at age 12. However, she did not publish her first book until 2003. She will publishe her 30th novel in 2026. Winskye is best known for her Tony Wagner mystery series, which has grown to 13 volumes. She has three other mystery series: Randy McKay, an amateur sleuth; Lunar Enforcement science fiction mysteries; and Christina Wagner, a middle grade mystery. She has also penned another middle grade novel, three romances, and four volumes of the Collins family saga.
